ARRIVAL DAY
- The transportation representative will wait for you at the airport, holding a sign with our company’s name, and take you to the hotel safely.

- You will be checked in and briefed on the hotel information.
- Once settled, we will meet to discuss the tackle set-up.
- Help will be provided with flies/lures, leaders, as well as any other advice required.
- Once meeting is over, you have the option to fish unguided on the beach or relax in the pool area.
- After 5:00 pm you can order dinner from a preset menu.
FISHING DAYS
- 05:00: Complete Breakfast is served.
- 05:30: Shuttle picks you up from the hotel and takes you to the fishing location.
- 06:00: The shuttle arrives at the fishing location. You board a panga and depart.
- The bait is picked up, if necessary, and the fishing adventure begins.
- Have your lunchbox on the panga whenever you prefer.
- 13:30: Shuttle takes guests back to the hotel.
- 14:00: Arrive at the hotel.
TACKLE & GEAR
This list is a guideline of the necessary items that you should bring to make your trip as productive and enjoyable as possible.
RODS
- 10 wt. rods (2).
- 12 wt. rod (1 or 2).
- 13 or 14 wt. only if you are aiming for big Tunas or Blue Marlins
LINES
- 10 wt. intermediate or sinking tip fly line (Tropical outbound taper)
- 10 wt. floating fly line (Permit or Tarpon taper).
- 12 wt. 400-550 grains siking fly line and/or a intermediate fly line.
- 13 or 14 wt. 600 – 700 grains or heavier sinking fly line.
SPARE LINES
- 1 spare intermediate or sinking for the 10 wt.
- 1 spare floating for the 10 wt.
- 1 spare sinker (400-550 grains) for the 12 wt.
REELS - 60 LBS BACKING/SPECTRA
- 10 wt. with at least 250-350 yds. of backing spooled.
- 12 wt. with 350- 500 yds. of backing spooled.
- 13 or 14 wt with 350-500 yds. of backing spooled.
LEADERS
- 8 to 9 ft. fluorocarbon leaders. Straight 30 pounds for Roosters and Jacks. Straight 40 pounds for Dorados.
- Bring 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60 lbs. (60 lbs. can be mono.)
- For Marlin, Sailfish and other big fish bring: 80, 100, 120 lbs. leader spools.
- For a possible shark bring 80 lbs. wire leader.
SPARE BACKING
- Better to have it and not to need it a 300 yds. of 60 lbs. spool.
HOOK & FLIES
- Bring a great selection of flies. Ensure you have sardine, mullets and poppers patterns.
- Colors for roosters: white with olive / tan / green.
- Fly sizes for Roosters: 2/0 to 6/0.
- Colors for billfish: White with blue / pink, blue and yellow.
- Fly sizes for billfish: 6/0 to 8/0.
OTHERS
- Waterproof backpack.
- Buffs.
- Pliers and nippers.
- Polarized sunglasses Copper Green / Blue.
- Sun gloves and tape for fingers.
- UV Clothing.
SPECIAL NOTE
- Mexico permits you to transport four fly rods and reels without paying a fee. If you bring more than the allowable limit, you might have to pay a fee.
- Fishing pliers, spools of fluorocarbon leader and wire, saltwater hooks, flies, and fly-tying tools are NOT ALLOWED in carry-on luggage. These must be packed in your checked baggage.
- You can take fly rods in your carry-on luggage coming from the U.S. to Mexico, but you will NOT be able to carry rods on the plane when flying from Mexico to the U.S.

The plugs used in Mexico are the same Type A and Type B as those used in the United States and Canada. If you are visiting from Europe or other countries that use different plug types, you will need a universal travel adapter.

Apart from the Baja experiences, the hotel offers a TV sports center, a fire pit lounge, a jacuzzi, a swimming pool, stand-up paddleboards and kayaks for guests to enjoy.
Yes, all anglers are required to sign an ‘Indemnity Form’ once on location.
While is not required. We recommend all anglers to purchase travel insurance that will cover any costs incurred due to flight or trip delays regardless of the cause. Angling Baja is not liable for any flight cancellations, or any miss-connecting flights for any reason, including weather.
No, they are non required for entry.

We accept bank wire transfers.
A deposit of 50% of the total package charge is required to confirm your booking and the balance is payable in full three months (90 days) prior to arrival.
If the deposit is not received within 10 days Angling Baja reserves the right to cancel the reservation and release space to be resold.
All anglers are required to submit a ‘Reservation Form’ prior to arrival.
This form will help us know if you have any dietary restriction or if you need flies for example.
